I caught this movie on TV last year and concept it was very cute– honest like those romance novels I read. So, when it came out on DVD, I had to remove it.

She is the girl-next-door type who made a wish a long time ago for a boyfriend for Christmas and has shapely powerful given up on the wish ever coming factual. He is a workaholic attorney whose path happens to inferior hers— and not in the best device. A limited unsuitable identity and holiday magic back the two tumble in treasure. But, once the suitable identity is revealed, will all bets be off? You’ll have to recognize and notice.
I would have given it 5 stars if I hadn’t found myself thinking, “How did they acquire so noteworthy time off from work during the holidays? ” (smile)

A savory movie. Perfect for a wintry night when you need some abet getting over your maintain bah humbug feelings.
This is a really nice movie and anyone who likes a superb romance will really devour it. The pickle with this dvd is that the digital copyright protection prevents it from being played properly on computers or dvd/vcr combo machines. It works exquisite on machines that possess only a dvd player. I found this to be extremely frustrating and inconvenient. I pain up with 2 dvd’s and they both behaved in the same arrangement.
As a 12 year broken-down, Holly Grant meets Santa and as she thinks she is too used for former gifts, she tells Santa she wants a boyfriend for Christmas. He leaves a gift under her tree with a message: she will receive her requested gift in the 20th year “when two hearts are ready”. Time then goes to almost 20 years later when Holly is in her 30’s and is working for a non-profit organization. Enter Ryan Hughes, a lawyer, who courtesy of Santa winds up being Holly’s gift for Christmas. A mistake with a joint client causes Ryan to have a falling out with Holly even though they’ve never met. When Ryan arrives on Holly’s doorstep, he chooses to lisp Holly his name is Douglas Firwood to camouflage his upright identity. Over the holiday Holly and “Doug” plunge in care for as they believe up a charade with her family. Holly’s jealous ex-boyfriend tries to indicate Ryan as a fraud, and Ryan’s lie threatens to spoil his chance for a pleased future with Holly. There is one brief comment about sex and a few uses of God’s name, but otherwise I would say it is a colossal family movie.
January 2009 – I impartial wanted to say that it seems they’ve fixed the jam. I bought 2 copies of this movie in town here over the Christmas season and they are shapely. I’m satisfied, as it’s a capable movie.
