A slow PC should be history. With advancement in innovations and technology, having a slow computer will really make you feel living in the Jurassic era. It is for this reason that we frequently try to look  how to speed up their computers.

If you are experiencing this, then you just came to timely place. Its true that there are several ways involve in speeding up a PC. But then again, these easy things are worth a try.

Here is some of the tweaking I did to speed up my Windows:

> Getting bored with the menu delays is really annoying. Lessen the time it takes for menu transitions by right-clicking your desktop. Click Properties and Select the Effects tab. Unchoose the Animate windows menu lists. For those who use Windows XP, this can be done by right-clicking on the desktop, choosing Properties, clicking the Appearance tab, clicking the Effects option and deselect Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Choose OK.

> Speed up Windows Start Up by cleaning out the softwares you dont utilize at start-up. For Windows 98 users, you can do this through going to Start and clicking Run. Then enter MSConfig.exe and then choose OK. select the Start up tab then unchoose the applications you choose to discontinuethrough the startup. As you see, you can only speed start up Windows if you decrease the programs and applications that your personal computer needs to run.

> Defrag may be an old school process but it doesnt fail to help anyone who has speed problems. Find the defrag option under your System Tools menu from the Accessories or Start Tab. Make sure that you give a time for defragging. Using various software while on defrag confines the process itself.

> Choosing to install your programs would be best if you frequently experience errors. Run a virus scan before you back up all of your important files Also, be sure that you have a back up copy of your harware drives before erasing files from your hard drvies Reinstalling your software could run for as long as an hour or more.

> This is a very basic tip that you should regularly do: Remove any unused programs. Programs, whether you are using them or not, take up space in your hard disk. If you arent making use of them, then is there still a need to keep them? computer bugs
